The clash between India and Pakistan on the cricket field is always a centre of attraction for the fans. The two nations have not been playing bilateral series for a long time due to the political tensions, however the fans always look forward to ICC tournaments where both the teams come face-to-face. As a result of the political tensions, Pakistani players were part of only the first season of IPL. The former Pakistani player Shoaib Akhtar thinks that Babar Azam would go for 15-20 crore if ever Pakistani players are allowed in the league.

The Indian Premier League is undoubtedly the biggest cricket league in the world. The league has proved to be a stage where the new talent can showcase their skills and can attract the attention of the selectors. The league has proved to be a launching pad for many Indian cricketers who later became the backbone of the Indian team. Pakistan players are not allowed in the IPL, but Shoaib Akhtar feels that Babar Azam would be amongst the highest paid players if ever he is allowed in the league.
Babar Azam has been brilliant as a batsman and more so as a captain for the Pakistan team. Azam is surely one of the best batsmen across formats in the current generation. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ Shoaib Akhtar, while talking to Sportskeeda, expressed his opinion and said that if Pakistan players are allowed in IPL, Babar would cash-in a lot of money as he would be sold for around 15-20 crore.
“In the auction, Babar would go for 15-20 crore. It would be great to see Babar Azam and Virat Kohli playing together in the IPL. How nice it would be if they open the innings in the IPL one day,” Akhtar said while talking to Sportskeeda. For the uninitiated, Babar Azam is on the top spot in the T20 rankings presently and is leading his troops against Australia in the ODI series.
The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League kickstarted on 26th March with the opening clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. The league now has 10 teams battling for the title after the latest inclusion of Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.
