Team India gained yet another historic victory against England in the Oval on Monday. All the players came forward and displayed their A-game against the English side which crumbled into pressure on the fifth day of the 4th Test match. The fans and the players were jubilant after attaining the victory. However, the Indian skipper and the head coach has come on the radar of their cricketing board as BCCI slams Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri for attending a crowded event.
Team India played the game on the fourth and fifth days without their coaching staff present on the ground as they were isolated. The head coach of the Indian team Ravi Shastri returned positive in a lateral flow test on Sunday and was confirmed positive on Monday. India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar were put in isolation as they were in close contact with Shastri. Later on, their reports also returned positive.

It is learnt that the Indian captain and head coach Ravi Shastri along with other members of the squad attended a book launch event that was not organized by any of the boards which have left the Indian Cricket Board displeased. The players and the coaching staff had not taken any clearance from England and Wales Cricket Board. It is a humiliating situation for the board as BCCI slams Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri for the same.

Team India has done exceptionally well on the tour of England and everyone is hoping that there is no more damage and the Indian players will be able to play the fifth and last Test of the series without any hiccups. It is quite obvious that the coaching staff will not accompany the team in the fifth Test which will go underway from the 10th of September. The bio-bubble in Manchester is definitely going to be tougher after this incident.
