Darren Sammy News: Sammy Responds To Swara Bhaskar #SaySorryToDarren Tweet

Since the former Caribbean skipper Darren Sammy open up news that what his teammates used to call him ‘Kaalu’ in Indian Premier League (IPL), the hashtag #saysorrytodarren gets trending over the twitter handle. However, some disagree with Darren Sammy claim of racism because they think that ‘Kalu’ word is not always a racist slur. But now Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar also responded after Sammy shares about his conversation with one of his teammate over the news of racism.

Darren Sammy Tweets After Having Conversation With One Of SRH Teammate

On Friday, after having a conversation with one of his IPL teammate, Darren Sammy took to twitter to share. He wrote, “I’m please to say that I’ve had a really interesting conversation with one of the guys and we are looking at ways to educate rather than focusing on the negatives. My brother reassured me that he operated from a place of love and I believe him.”

As soon as Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar gets the news, she took to twitter to ask a question from Caribbean former skipper Darren Sammy. Swara came up with a tweet demanding an apology from Sammy’s former IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. She wrote, “Dear @darensammy88 if someone used the N-word at a black person & said they “operated from a place of love” what would u say? Same with the word ‘Kaalu’ & it’s variations. And team members of @SunRisers. Show some decency & spine #SaySorryToDaren officially! #thatsnotcricket @IPL.”

The 36-year-old cricketer was quick to respond to the Bollywood actress’ tweet and said he just wants to educate one and all so that racism doesn’t happen again.

“Don’t get me wrong I’m not condoning what was done/said. I’m saying let’s use this opportunity to educate each other so it doesn’t happen again. One can only apologize if he/she feels wrong about something. I’m confident&proud to be black. That will never change,” Sammy wrote.
