The Australian all-rounder respects the legendary Indian players and thus she wanted to watch them bat together rather than join them.
Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Ellyse Perry for 1.7 Crore in the WPL Auction
In the inaugural Women’s Premier League auction, the Australian star player was bought by RCB. The franchise has bought some of the most influential and popular T20 stars across the globe but is still struggling in the league.
RCB is the only team that is yet to taste victory in the tournament. The two players on whom they spent the most money Ellyse Perry and Smriti Mandhana are struggling to score runs. Their bad form is making the team look weak.
In the 3 matches which Perry has played this season, she has scored just 76 runs. Her partner Smriti Mandhana has also not been able to live up to the expectation as she has also scored 76 runs in the 3 innings in which she played.
Royal Challengers Bangalore has yet to win a match in WPL 2023
After the auction RCB was looking like a very formidable side but in the tournament, they have been exposed badly. Their bowlers have conceded 200+ runs twice in this tournament.
Now RCB only has 4 games left to turn things around. Experience players Smriti, Perry, and Knight need to get their hands up if RCB wants to survive in this tournament.
