Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh named his all-time Test XI while speaking to Sportskeeda. Having announced his retirement recently from all forms of cricket, Singh ended his career with 417 Test wickets in 103 matches at an average of 32.46. He represented India in 236 ODIs and claimed 269 scalps, while in his short T20I career of 28 games, he picked up 25 wickets.

Harbhajan picked his teammate Virender Sehwag and England’s Alastair Cook as the openers of his all-time Test XI. The off-spinner showered praises on Sehwag for his fearless approach and called him Vivian Richards of his time.

Number 3 spot was given to the swashbuckling West Indies batsman Brian Lara, whose name was enough to terrify the bowlers during his playing days. Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was chosen as number 4, while Harbhajan picked Australia’s Steve Waugh as the number 5 and captain of his all-time Test XI.

Kumar Sangakkara is the wicket-keeper, Jacques Kallis picked as the fast-bowling all-rounder

Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara will don the gloves in Harbhajan’s all-time Test XI. The all-rounder’s slot was given to South Africa’s Jacques Kallis.

Shane Warne featured as the sole spinner in the XI. Harbhajan went on to pick three pacers, namely Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath, and James Anderson, the trio that can send shivers down the spine of any batsman. Akaram was labelled by Harbhajan as the best left-arm pacer ever produced.

Muttiah Muralitharan found a spot in Harbhajan’s Test XI as the 12th man.
