Both teams have 4 points and a win today will take them to the top of the Group B table. After winnings the toss, Bangladesh invites the Rohit Sharma-led side to bat first.
India didn’t have a good start to the innings as Rohit departs in 4th over after scoring just 2 runs. However, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli’s 67-run partnership puts India in the driver’s seat. Kohli signalled the umpire to give a No-ball, Shakib left unimpressed
There was a moment in the game when Shakib Al Hasan left upset with Umpire and Virat Kohli. The incident happened during the 16th over of India’s innings when Kohli pulled one off Hasan Mahmud’s deliveries to the long leg. As soon as Kohli hit the shot, he told Virat Kohli to give it a no-ball it was the second bouncer of the over.
Umpire then called it a no-ball but it irked the Bangladesh skipper. Shakib then had an argument with Umpire and Kohli jumped between them. The Indian batter was seen having a chat before things got sort out. The replay made it clear that it was a head-high and needed to be called a no-ball.
