Hardik Pandya and Kane Williamson were posing with the bilateral T20I series trophy when a strong gust dislodged the trophy from the podium. Williamson quickly reacted and showed his quick reflexes as he saved the trophy from falling on the ground.
Williamson grabbed the trophy and hilariously said, “I’ll have that!” and he actually started walking away with the trophy to mock Hardik Pandya ahead of the shoot. Hardik too was surprised with the hilarious comment made by the Kiwis skipper as he couldn’t control hi laugh. Team India faced a humiliating loss against England in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup in Australia after which the selectors decided to rest some seniors including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. A young Indian team has been announced for the series against Kiwis leaded by inform Hardik Pandya.
The series will be held between November 18 to 30. India will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. When asked about the Indian Team, Williamson said, ” Their side has been busy. It is natural that not everyone can do everything. Their depth is second to none. I have seen the talent these players have and there are plenty of superstars in that team.”

The selectors have a firm look towards the T20 World Cup scheduled after two years in 2024 which will co-hosted by West Indies and the USA. Most of the seniors will focus on the ODI World Cup 2023 and some junior faces will focus on the T20 format to improve performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
