Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been under the scanner for his leadership capabilities after Pakistan failed to salvage a single Test win in their home season against England and New Zealand. Opening batsman Shan Masood has been touted as the next captain in ODI and Test format and was not long ago, he was named as the vice-captain for the ODIs against the Black Caps.
However, all of it pales in comparison to the sexting scandal in which Babar Azam is now embroiled. Several reputed newspapers are reporting Babar as involved in inappropriate exchanges with the girlfriend of an unnamed teammate.
The legitimacy of sexting allegations on Babar
Twitter account going by the name of Dr. Nimo Yadav has shared a short clip for Babar Azam claiming that in the clip, the batsman is asking the girl to continue sexting with him and in return, he will guarantee a place for her lover.
Babar Azam sexting with gf of another Pakistan cricketer and promising her that her bf won’t be out of team if she keeps sexting with him is just 👎🏿
I hope allah is watching all this .

The clip doing rounds on Twitter has been taken from an Instagram account that has Babar circled in for his inappropriate activities.
The posts of the IG account that goes @eish.arajpoot1 are available here in a the form of a screen recording and comprise of alleged audios from Babar and a clip of him in a car (supposedly with a woman).

Regardless, there is a likelihood of the sexting scandal being nothing more than a trap for Babar Azam as the authenticity of the aforementioned clips remain under question and they do not provide enough evidence to undo Babar.
Moreover, it is noteworthy that the Twitter account that has accused the Pakistan captain of blackmailing a teammate’a girlfriend is a parody account impersonating Indian criminal and fugitive Nirav Modi.
The account has already cleared that the viral tweet is meant for sarcasm in a follow-up, “Jahan mera naam dikhta hai wahin article chaap dete hai gareeb log (The poor media houses publish an article as soon as they see my name)”.

Therefore, the rumour mill can shut down regarding the grand sexting scandal surrounding Babar Azam that isn’t authentic at all.
Recognizing basic sarcasm is a rare skill; one that enormous media houses do not have.
