Earlier, both teams played two tests at the venue. The spin-friendly pitch of Motera made the headlines during the series. However, Narendra Modi stadium t20 pitch report might be different.
Narendra Modi Stadium T20 pitch report and records
It will be the first time that an International limited-overs match will be held in Motera stadium after the renovation. But many ODI matches and 1 T20 match have been played on the ground before. The curators of Ahmedabad ground have always created batting-friendly pitches. And in the upcoming series, we can expect a flood of runs.
The only T20 match at the venue was played back in 2012 when India and Pakistan met in a bilateral series for the one last time. India had posted 192 on the board while Pakistan gave a tough fight during the chase. However, the visitors fell 12 runs short of the target as they could score 181 in 20 overs. So chasing in this venue will not be difficult if the target is below 160.
So the pitch report of Narendra Modi Stadium says that a team will look to bowl first after winning the toss during the T20 series. Spinners might play a key role during India vs England t20 series. However, we can expect high-scoring matches during the 5 matches.
The series will kickstart on 12 March while the last match to be played on 20 March. Both teams have announced the squad. Eoin Morgan will be making his comeback as a captain. Also, both Curran brothers Tom and Sam are part of the English squad. On the other hand, many Indian youngsters will be eying a spot in the playing 11. Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan are players whose debut is awaiting.
