It will be the first time that an International limited-overs match will be held in Motera stadium after the renovation. But many ODI matches and 1 T20 match have been played on the ground before. The curators of Ahmedabad ground have always created batting-friendly pitches. And in the upcoming series, we can expect a flood of runs.

The only T20 match at the venue was played back in 2012 when India and Pakistan met in a bilateral series for the one last time. India had posted 192 on the board while Pakistan gave a tough fight during the chase. However, the visitors fell 12 runs short of the target as they could score 181 in 20 overs.
