Team India is placed in a driver’s seat in the second test against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
On the second day of the test, Bangladesh batter Najmul Hossain Shanto tried wasting some time on the field to which he got a furious response from Virat Kohli.

Team India got all out at a score of 314 runs just a few overs before the end of the second day’s play. Bangladesh batter Najmul Hossain Shanto started tying his shoelaces after the fifth ball of the sixth over and made sure the clock went past the cut-off time in order to prevent any more overs from being bowled.
Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan was facing the off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin while Shanto, at the non-striker’s end went down to tie his shoe laces. Virat got frustrated with Shanto’s tactics as he hilariously gestured to Shanto to remove his shirt and started tugging his own jersey. Virat was claimed as saying, “Shirt bhi khol le apna” (Open your shirt as well). The umpires called for stumps just after the last delivery of Ashwin’s over.

It’s worth noting that it was not the only incident when Shanto delayed the proceedings. Just after the Bangladesh batters came in to bat Shanto asked for a change of his bat. Bangladesh’s 12th man brought multiple bats for him to choose from and Shanto after checking all the bats kept playing with the same bat.
Earlier, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer played crucial knocks for the Indian team which helped India post a total of 314 and gain a healthy lead of 87 runs in the first innings. Pant scored 93 while Iyer scored 87 and were part of an important partnership for the fifth wicket.

Bangladesh will now look to bat better in the second innings in order to bring some excitement in the game after posting a mediocre total of 227 runs in the first innings as India’s experienced bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav grabbed 4 wickets each while Unadkat got a couple of wickets.
