Team India are locking horns with the Nepal cricket team in the fifth match of the ongoing continental event. Earlier, the highly-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan saw no result as the rain played spoilsport just ahead of the start of Pakistan’s innings. As a result, the two teams shared a point apiece, meaning that Pakistan qualified for the Super 4 stage. Meanwhile, India will have to beat Nepal to advance to the next stage.
Nevertheless, if the game sees no result due to rain, India will still qualify for the Super 4 stage with 2 points. Earlier, Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Nepal posted 178/6 in 37.5 overs before the game was delayed due to a wet outfield. The two on-field umpires and the fourth umpire inspected the field for a while before the play resumed. At the time of writing this article, Nepal posted 183/6 in 39 overs.
Rohit Sharma vents out frustration after taking a fabulous catch
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma hogged the limelight when he vented his frustration soon after taking a sharp catch at the slip. The skipper uttered a cuss word in frustration after taking a catch, which left Ravindra Jadeja in splits. The incident happened during the last ball of the 20th over when Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel got an inside edge off his bat while facing left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja.

As it turned out, the ball went towards skipper Rohit Sharma in the follow-through. The skipper was sharp at the slip as he took a clean catch. He uttered the cuss word because he was unhappy with his teammates’ fielding levels. Earlier, the likes of Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer dropped regulation catches. Those were catches that should have been taken, considering the fielding standards of Indian cricketers.
Did he just drop a sitter? 😭😭😭
What if Rohit Sharma was in Virat Kohli's shoes? The hypocrites of cricket twitter would have gone bonkers trolling my captain.

A video clip of Virat Kohli dropping a catch is widely circulating on social media. During the first ball of the second over, Aasif tried to nudge the ball towards Kohli and the latter juggled it before dropping it. Before that, Shreyas Iyer dropped a catch at the slip and gifted a lifeline to Kushal Bhurtel as India dropped two easy catches inside two overs. Three overs later, Ishan Kishan dropped a catch, which summed up India’s fielding effort.
