Though team India took an unassailable lead after winning the 2nd T20I against England, they couldn’t complete a clean-sweep as they lost the third T20I by a margin of 7 runs. The Indian top-order failed to leave the bulk of the work for the middle order to do. However, there was one shot from a top-order batsman which got the fans intrigued and it was Virat Kohli’s glorious six.

The English captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected bat first asking the Indian team to chase. The England batsmen played handy knocks and took their team to a mammoth 215 runs. In reply, Team India had a poor start as Rishabh Pant fell on the first delivery of the second over. Kohli came in at No.3 and tried to score quickly. In the process, Virat Kohli’s glorious six got the fans cheering and hooting.
After Pant got out, Kohli replaced him on the crease and started playing shots. Virat Kohli’s glorious six came in the 3rd over of the Indian inning when David Willey was bowling to him. The batsman had already hit a boundary on the second ball of the over and he up the ante with a beautiful maximum on the third delivery. The fans were left longing for more after two back-to-back boundaries from the former Indian captain.

Unfortunately, the batsman did an overdose of intent as the batsman did not slow down after two boundaries in the over. He went after the bowler on the fourth delivery as well as he tried to hit the delivery over cover, but couldn’t clear the man at short extra cover who pouched a fairly easy catch. Sadly, for the fans, Virat Kohli’s glorious six was followed by his wicket and the batsman’s poor run of form continued in the third T20I as well.
After the top-order fell cheaply, Suryakumar Yadav played his best T20I inning and scored a century for his team. He was the lone fighter and took his team really close to the target, but fell in the penultimate over and as a result team India lost the game by 17 runs. Both the teams will now play a 3-match ODI series which will begin on Tuesday in Kennington Oval, London.
