Cricket Is Likely To be Added In Los Angeles Olympics 2028

Twenty-20 International cricket is likely to get a global platform. As there was talks from a while of adding Cricket in Olympics and now a news has been confirmed by World Cricket Committee chairman Mike Gatting. Gatting went on to say that International Cricket Council Chairman Manu Swahney passed this news.

We were talking with Manu Swahney the ICC chief executive, and he was very hopeful we can get cricket into the Olympics 2028. That’s what they are working towards at the moment and that would be huge bonus for cricket worldwide, it would be fantastic,” ESPN cricinfo quoted as saying

Cricket has already played in Olympics for once so far. In the 1900 Summer Olympics Men’s Cricket game was played. However, only two team has participated in the contest; Great Britain and hosts France. Great Britain had won the gold medal in the only competition in Olympics so far.

Actually, the game was scheduled to be added in the 1896 First Summer Olympics. But the event cancelled due to the insufficient entries of the participating nations.

Meanwhile, a good news for cricket fans has came now, one of the ICC member has confirmed the news. And Recently, International Cricket Council has also shared a photo on their twitter handle. In the twitter post we can see how ICC is happy to share the photo.

In the caption they have added something special for the fans. And fans can expect a early inclusion of Twenty-20 Internationals in the Olympics.
