English former cricketer Andrew Flintoff decided to reinstate the 5-year-old banter with Amitabh Bachchan.

India vs England test series 2021 is underway at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Meanwhile, in the first test match, the English team is dominating the hosts’ thanks to skipper Joe Root’s 218 runs. That’s why English former cricketer Andrew Flintoff decided to reinstate the 5-year-old banter with Amitabh Bachchan.

During the world cup, after Virat Kohli’s match-winning knock against Australia, which guided India to the semi-finals, English cricketer Andrew Flintoff took a sly dig at Kohli’s greatness by tweeting, “At this rate @imVkohli will be as good as @root66 one day! Not sure who @englandcricket will meet in the final now !“.

Thereafter, India’s legend Amitabh Bachchan felt this tweet from Andrew Flintoff as disrespect and he replied with a mouth shutting reply. He tweeted, “@flintoff11 @imVkohli @root66 @englandcricket Root who? जड़ से उखाड़ देंगे Root ko ..!!! (who is Joe Root, and India would ‘uproot’ Root).

Now after 5 years, English former cricketer Andrew Flintoff decided to continue the banter with Amitabh Bachchan. On Saturday, when English skipper Joe root registered his 5th double century, former all-rounder brought back the Indian actor’s tweet to the attention. Flintoff tweeted, “With the greatest respect, this aged well”.

After winning the toss, England team decided to bat first in the ongoing test match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Meanwhile, England in the first innings put a huge score of 578 on the board, thanks to Joe Root inning. In the reply, Indian batting line couldn’t manage to score big so far in the first innings. At the end of the 73 overs, India’s score is 253-6 and currently, R Ashwin is batting along with Washington Sundar.
